Welcome to our Care of Place page. In the long tradition of monasticism, and as part of our intention to live respectfully with the land and the resources with which we have been provided, we are working to provide for our future by living responsibly in the present. Our solar collection project, installed in 2009, is now providing the greater part of our electric needs. (Click on the link at right to view our solar collection). Expansion of our vegetable garden is underway each year, as well as projects on the grounds concerned with environmental health and water management. The new monastery addition by Groth Design Group of Cedarburg, and Stier Construction of Waukesha, built to facilitate care of older members as well as provide more cells and an indoor route to the chapel, is celebrated with albums of progress and a tour of the completed building.
